Father’s Day Weekend
To celebrate Father’s Day this year we went to Clear Lake with my parents and sister who flew in from San Diego. Although the weather didn’t cooperate (overcast and showers) which meant the boat didn’t leave the garage, it was the perfect weekend to relax and get in plenty of fishing. (See the updated pictures in Fishing 101 album). The ladies read book after book and the boys took the opportunity to test out all the new fishing gear acquired in recent weeks. Trying out the new spinner bait, I was able to haul in a couple decent size Bass! Of course Ben caught his limit of Crappie as usual, the kid can just cast that rod and work the fish.
The weekend also included a bowling outing where I had to set the bar on competition with a 164. (1st place by the way). The ladies were nice enough to cook a wonderful breakfast on Sunday and we were back home in time to do a little landscaping work around the house. Not a bad weekend if you ask me.
Oh and not to forget….the Father’s Day gifts: mine this year was an upgraded 500-piece Poker Chip Set. The perfect compliment to my other new hobby Texas Hold-em. My dad picked up a CD compilation of Ben & family pictures which he really enjoyed.
